Frederick M. Shimp is an assistant director at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) and has served in that role since 2011. Shimp oversees the day-to-day operations of ODNR as well as the department’s policies and procedures. Prior to working at ODNR, Shimp served as the assistant director at the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA). He was a district director for Congressman Jim Jordan and also served as a deputy director and legislative liaison for ODA during the Voinovich and Taft administrations. Shimp earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from The Ohio State University.
