View locations and permit information on thousands of mapped surface and underground coal and minerals mines in Ohio.

Information can be accessed by either entering a street address for the area of interest or by zooming in on the area and clicking on mining features.

Mines of Ohio data is available for download, on a statewide basis. Data is provided in Shapefile format in a downloadable zip file. Metadata is included with each zip file. Open the Data tab in the window once the application loads for a list of the shapefiles.
