The Ohio Division of Wildlife will be releasing ring-necked pheasants this fall at 25 of Ohio’s public hunting areas. More than 14,000 rooster pheasants are scheduled to be released to provide hunting opportunities across the state.

  • 1,680 Pheasants will be released statewide
• Oct. 29-Oct 30, 2022 (youth weekend)
  • 1,710 Pheasants will be released statewide
• Nov. 4, 2021 (opening day)
  • 4,200 Pheasants will be released statewide
• Nov. 11, 2022
  • 3,130 Pheasants will be released statewide
• Nov. 24, 2022 (Thanksgiving Day)
  • 3,320 Pheasants will be released statewide
