Doug Young is the Chief of the Office of Law Enforcement and oversees ODNR’s law enforcement activities, training, and policies. Doug holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Charleston Southern University and is a graduate of the Police Executive Leadership College. Before coming to ODNR in 2019, Doug worked as a Special Agent Supervisor with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI). While at BCI, Doug headed multiple investigatory units, including the Environmental Enforcement Unit and the Environmental Background Investigation Unit.

A native of Columbus, Doug enjoys hiking, cycling, reading, and spending time with his family.
