Join ODNR at "Creekend" to Celebrate the Opening of the New Marina at Alum Creek State Park

Adventure In Every Direction!

Join us for a fun and exciting weekend just north of Columbus as we celebrate the official ribbon cutting of the newly anticipated marina building. And don’t miss out on many other family friendly programs all weekend long:

  • Beach:
    • Touch a truck
    • Archery (Saturday only)
    • Life jacket relay races 
    • Naturalist led hikes at the storybook trail
    • Food trucks all weekend
    • Paddling demonstrations
  • Marina:
    • Formal ribbon cutting at 11 am on Saturday
    • Live Music on Saturday
    • Free boat tours of the lake 
    • Youth fishing 
    • Giveaways 
  • Nature center:
    • All new displays
    • Hands on crafts and activities
    • Visit with a naturalist 
  • All boat ramps:
    • Boat inspections 
  • Outdoor skills demonstrations at Alum Creek’s mountain bike trail and sailing club (Saturday only)
  • The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Visitor Center will be open all weekend – stop by for dam tours, scavenger hunts, and Ohio Raptor Show.

Don’t forget to pick up the official Alum Creekend contest form at the US Army Corps visitor center, new marina, or park office. In exchange for participating in several activities, youth and adults will be eligible for prizes such as outdoor gear, gift certificates, free boat rental, and overnight stays.

Park at the park’s beach parking lot and take a shuttle to the marina and campground/nature center areas.
