West Branch State Park Campground

Lake levels are lowered during winter. Courtesy docks at the East and West ramps are removed beginning 11/21. Bridle trails are closed 11/18 until April (riders are welcome to ride the service road leading to camp all winter). Mountain bike trails are closed on various hunting dates (11/19 to 11/20; 11/28 to 12/4; 12/17 to 12/18; and 1/7 to 1/10). All trail users should be aware of various hunting seasons through February and wear bright blaze orange while on trails. Call our trails line at (330) 235-0028 for more information.

West Branch State Park offers a large campground with more than 200 sites and numerous amenities including a beach and boat launch. Pets are permitted on all sites. Reservations may be made up to six months in advance online or by calling (866) 644-6727.

Family Campground

  • Full hook-up and 50-amp electric sites; one non-electric site
  • Heated showers, flush toilets, laundry facilities, and a trailer dump station
  • Beach and boat launch for campers only
  • Some lakeside sites offer carry-in boat access
  • Off-peak: From Nov. 1 to April 1, electric sites 1-32 are available. Showerhouse #1 is open for bathrooms and water. Dump station is open but has no flush water.

Group Camps

Three group sites are available in the family campground.

  • Each group site features six picnic tables, two fire rings, a charcoal grill, and multiple lantern hooks.  
  • Group site A and B offer 20-, 30-, and 50-amp outlets while Group Site C is primitive.
  • The sites are within 100 yards of flush restrooms. 
  • Off-peak: From Nov. 1 to April 1, Group Sites A, B, and C are available. Showerhouse #1 is open for bathrooms and water. Dump station is open but has no flush water.

Bridle Camping

Primitive (non-electric) equestrian campsites are available in a separate bridle camping area.
