Trail Crew Work Day - New Straitsville - Buckeye Trail
The Little Cities of the Forest Chapter and Central Ohio Chapter are hosting a Go Blaze Day event to prepare for the Biggest Day Hike on June 4th. We will have trail work training by the BTA's Director of Trail Development and a presentation on invasive species removal, along with spreading out on the trail and preparing the trail corridor for the Biggest Day Hike with vegetation control and fresh blazing. After a long day's work we'll enjoy some hot dogs and s'mores around the campfire Saturday night.
Location: Meet at the Group Camp area of Burr Oak State Park (by Dock Area 3) around 7:45am. We will start with a presentation on invasive species at 8:00am.
What To Bring: Lunch, snacks, water, gloves, work boots/shoes, work clothes. We will have hot dogs and s'mores around the campfire after working on Saturday.
Camping is available starting Friday evening on May 13th through Sunday morning on May 15th at the Group Camp area.
