Ohio State Parks offers a variety of overnight accommodations ranging from camping to modern cabins and cozy state park lodges.
Making Overnight Reservations
As of May 21: Campsites are available for reservation. Deluxe cabins at seven state parks are available for reservation.
As of May 28: Ohio State Park lodges are accepting reservations now for stays beginning June 5. More deluxe cabins are available for reservation now for stays beginning June 1. Cedar Cabins at Geneva available for reservation now for stays beginning June 6. Cabins at Pymatuning can be reserved now for stays beginning June 16.
Park staff are available to answer questions about individual state parks by calling the state park office directly.

Ohio’s 60 state park campgrounds offer a variety of campsites including full-service, electric and primitive. Each campground offers a variety of facilities and activities for overnight and day-use fun. Each site comes with a picnic table and fire ring.
With the exception of Hocking Hills and Maumee Bay, all state park campgrounds re-opened May 21. Maumee Bay campground is open for reservations now (renovations are nearly complete) for stays beginning June 1. A reservation will be required to camp; no walk-in campsites will be offered.
- Restrooms and shower houses are limited.
- Campers are urged to practice “self-contained” camping whenever possible and must follow all COVID-19 protocols.
- Closed facilities may vary from park to park but include camp stores, shelter houses, playgrounds, nature centers and nature programming, pools and splash pads.
- Available facilities include marinas, golf courses, beaches, trails, boat ramps, fishing piers, picnic areas and dog parks.
These modern, two-bedroom cabins sleep up to six guests and offer a full bathroom and kitchen, screened porch and fire ring as well as TV and AC/heat.
Deluxe cabins at the follow state parks can be reserved through www.greatohiolodges.com or by calling the lodge of your choice directly (see State Park Resort Lodges / Conference Centers, below): Burr Oak, Deer Creek, Hueston Woods, Maumee Bay, Punderson, Salt Fork and Shawnee.
Deluxe cabins at Buck Creek, Cowan Lake, Dillon, Lake Hope, Mohican, and Pike Lake can be reserved now for stays beginning June 1. The cabins at Pymatuning will reopen June 16. Visit reserveohio.com or call 866-OHIOPARKS (866-644-6727) to make reservations for these cabins.

Ohio State Parks offer unique getaways that allow visitors to spend the night without having to own all the equipment needed to enjoy an overnight outdoor adventure. Currently, all getaway rentals are closed temporarily. Reservations may be available in the next phase of facility openings.
Most getaway rentals are located in or near the campground. Each accommodates 3-5 guests and includes basic furnishings such as bunkbeds, microwave, and/or fridge. Equipment, such as linens and cookware, are not provided.

Day-use Facility Reservations
A number of day-use facilities including shelterhouses at many state parks and other buildings are currently closed. We will resume accepting reservations for picnic shelterhouses as facilities reopen. For details related to specific shelterhouse reservations, please contact the local state park office.
