Volunteers Needed on Sept. 11 for State Park Clean-Up Day

Events being held at three area state parks

RAVENNA, Ohio - Volunteers are needed to help with several local litter pick-up events, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). Park Clean-Up Day will be held at Lake Milton, Nelson-Kennedy and West Branch state parks on Saturday, Sept. 11, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Volunteers have a chance to give back to their favorite parks by helping keep them litter-free. Garbage bags will be provided by ODNR and can be picked up at the following locations:

  • Lake Milton State Park – Maintenance shop: 166001 Mahoning Ave., Lake Milton
  • West Branch State Park – Campground office: 5570 Esworthy Rd., Ravenna
  • Nelson-Kennedy Ledges State Park – Main parking lot: 12380 Nelson Ledges Rd., Garrettsville
