One-Call Incident Notification
The Emergency Response Program coordinates field response within the Division and with other federal, state, and local responders to oilfield incidents such as gas releases, fluid spills, fires, explosions, chemical releases, etc., that are self-reported by the industry or identified through inspections, citizen complaints, or reported by state or local government officials. The field response begins from the time of discovery or initial notification and ends through resolution. In 2016, rules established incident notification standards and created a toll-free number that enables the oil and gas industry to fulfill all state agency notification requirements through a single call.
