Ohio’s industries, cities, farms and powerplants withdraw about six billion gallons of water every day. Although Ohio is blessed with an apparent abundance of water, conservation saves money and is essential to maintain available supplies during drought periods when shortages may occur. Water is a precious resource that needs to be protected by both suppliers and users. Best management practices and water conservation and efficiency research can be shared with ODNR staff at firstname.lastname@example.org. We encourage and welcome input from the public, water use managers, and water withdrawal facility owners on their water conservation efforts.
