Mohican River Wildlife Area

Location and Description    

Mohican River Wildlife Area is a 475-acre state wildlife area located 4 miles northwest of Walhonding. The property is in Coshocton and Knox counties. 

History and Purpose    

Acquisition of the Mohican River Wildlife Area began in 1958 and continued through 2014. The property was acquired using multiple state funds and donations.
