Siegenthaler-Kaestner Esker State Nature Preserve

Siegenthaler-Kaestner Esker is one of the finest glacial eskers remaining in Ohio. It is an outstanding example of a sinuous esker, indicating the location of an ancient ice-walled stream channel which flowed through a Wisconsinan glacier some 11,000-25,000 years ago. The original stream channel can be clearly seen from the top of Siegenthaler Esker today as it curves across the landscape.
